Adriano Santos Adriano is part of a new generation of Brazilian drummers who has performed with top international artists such as Astrud Gilberto, Leny Andrade, Luciana Souza, Romero Lubambo, Nelson Faria, Leo Gandelman, Paulo Moura, Eumir Deodato, Cliff Korman, Santi Debriano, Paul Winter and the Boston Pops a.o. Adriano is part of the faculty of Drummers Collective in New York and he has produced publications in specialty drum magazines and has released a new book by the Collective called, "Afro-Caribean & Brazilian Rhythms for Drumset." Adriano can be seing performing at all the great clubs which feature Brazilian music and jazz (e.g. the Zinc Bar, SushiSamba etc.)
Philip Hamilton has been a part of many pioneering projects and groups. About the musicians on the CD:
Marcus McLaurine, bassist on "Small Regrets", has a most impressive career as a Jazz performer and recording musician. He has been performing and recording with trumpet legend Clark Terry for an incredible 19 years. In addition, he recorded and toured throughout the US, Europe and Japan with Abdullah Ibrahim, McCoy Tyner, the Count Basie Orchestra, Kenny Burrell, Abbey Lincoln, Cleo Laine, Michael Cochrane, Jon Hicks, Hank Jones, Vincent Herring, Bob Trowers a.o. He also appeared in the film "The Cotton Club" as bassist in the Cab Calloway band.
Rocky Bryant, drummer on "Small Regrets", is the original drummer for Branford Marsalis' band "Buckshot Le Fonque". He has been touring and recording with the group for 4 years. Currently he is touring with vocal giant Dianne Reeves. He has also toured with saxophonist David Sanborn and can be heard on the soundtrack of Spike Lee's movie "Clockers".
